Is there a registration deadline?
Registration deadline is July 7, 2016. Registrations received after this date may be returned without processing. In this instance registration will need to take place on-site in St. Louis. Note: All participants from outside the United States must pick up their materials on-site.
Can I cancel my registration?
Refund requests must be made before June 27, 2016. A processing fee of $25 will be charged on all refunds. However, because WLU must pay for meals in advance, meal tickets are non-refundable. No refunds will be issued after June 27.
What does registration include?
Registration for the Summer Institute includes over 50 interactive sessions on Thursday, July 14 through Saturday, July 16, as well as access to numerous free special events that you will find throughout the program.
Are meal functions included in registration?
No, all meal functions (luncheon) require a ticket and additional fee. Please see the registration form for details on this event. Because WLU must pay for meals in advance, meal tickets are non-refundable.
Is the preconference workshop included in registration?
No, the preconference workshop on Thursday requires an additional fee. Requests for refunds on the preconference must be made before June 27, 2016, and must be accompanied by a registration receipt. The amount of the refund will be reduced by a processing fee of $25. No refunds will be issued after June 27.
Is membership to WLU included in registration?
If you register for the Summer Institute as a nonmember and pay the nonmember registration rate you will automatically be given a 1-year membership to WLU/NCTE. We will send you details on your membership after the Institute. Does not, however, apply to student registration.
What is needed for student registration?
Student registration is offered to those who are student members of NCTE and full-time graduate and undergraduate students. Students must register using the Registration Form or by calling NCTE Customer Service at 800-369-6283 ext. 3001. A Student Status Verification Form will also need to be completed as a requirement for proof of student status and be mailed with your registration form or presented onsite at the registration desk.
What is needed for classroom teacher registration?
WLU is offering a special discount of $45 off registration fees for those who are currently classroom teachers. Use code "Classroom2016" during online registration checkout or check the box on the registration form to receive the discount. Discount is not available on student registrations.
Are accessibility accommodations available?
