2014 Summer Institute

The 25th Annual Literacies for All Summer Institute will be held July 17-19 in Pasadena, California.  The Summer Institute opens a conversation about the transformative potential of curriculum with learners at the heart. The conference theme, Making Meaning: Teaching and Learning Together, affirms the professional role of teachers in working closely with learners and developing learning experiences that respect the cultural backgrounds, interests and literacy development of learners.

Call for 2014 WLU Elections

The WLU Nominating Committee is seeking nominations for the 2014 elections for the offices of Board Member and President Elect. 
  • Board Members serve for three years and must attend two Board meetings per year, one at the WLU Literacies for All Summer Institute in July and one at the NCTE Annual Convention in November.
  • The President Elect serves for one year, becomes President for two-years, and then becomes Past President for one year.
