NCTE President Keith Gilyard invites applications for the position of NCTE Council Historian, 2013-2015. This is a volunteer position with a term of three years (renewable) beginning in January 2013 and ending in December of 2015.
The charge for the NCTE Council Historian is:
To continue to document the Council's history; to review and upgrade Council archives to support possible documentary projects, including films, essays, books, and oral histories; to propose history initiatives to the Executive Committee and work with staff and the Executive Committee to implement approved proposals, including those that may be generated by the Executive Committee; to continue the tradition of making a brief presentation about Council history at the Annual Business Meeting.
