2012 Election Candidates - Previous Revision

Ballots will be mailed to NCTE members in April. Completed ballots must be returned to NCTE by June 1. Results of the elections will be posted by mid-June.

NCTE Elections

For Vice President (one to be elected, term to expire 2013): Curt Dudley-Marling, Boston College, Massachusetts; Barbara Flores, California State University, San Bernardino; Kathy Short, University of Arizona, Tucson.

For Secondary Representative-at-Large (one to be elected, term to expire 2014): Alfredo Celedon Lujan, Monte del Sol Charter School, Santa Fe, New Mexico; Kimberly N. Parker, Newton Public Schools, Massachusetts.

For Trustees of the Research Foundation (two to be elected, term to expire 2015): Keisha Green, Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey; Tambra O. Jackson, University of South Carolina, Columbia; Neal Lerner, Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts; Mariana Souto-Manning, Teachers College/Columbia University, New York, New York.

For the NCTE Nominating Committee (one to be elected from each group, terms to expire 2013):

Group A (from the Middle Level Section): Marcelle Haddix, Syracuse University, New York; Penny Kittle, North Conway, New Hampshire; Jennifer Ochoa, MS 324, New York. New York.

Group B (from the Elementary Section): Katherine Bomer, University of Texas at Austin; Lisa Martin, Clark County School District, Las Vegas, Nevada; Terrell Young, Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah.

Group C (from the College Section): Ella J. Davis, Wayne County Community College, Detroit, Michigan; Mark Letcher, Purdue University Calumet, Hammond, Indiana; Lori Ostergaard, Oakland University, Rochester, Michigan.
