Tour of TYCA!
Tour of TYCA Showcases TYCA-SE (February 2013, Greenville, SC)
In their innovative SoundCloud presentation, “A Sound Practice: The Efficacy of Using SoundCloud for Audio Feedback” (https://voicethread.com/share/4757490/), Megan McKittrick, Catrina Mitchum, and Sarah Spangle, Old Dominion University, describe the use of SoundCloud as an audio feedback method and offer the results of a recent classroom study. McKittrick, Mitchum, and Spangle found students increasingly favor multi-modal feedback (a combination of audio and written commentary) and discuss the benefits for peers and teachers alike in using audio commentary. Additionally, McKittrick, Mitchum, and Spangle have provided a handout with additional information about how to use SoundCloud for instructor feedback, peer review, and invention, including references and their contact information.
