TARGET-ing Reluctant Readers: What Teachers Need to Know

Tuesday, September 30, 2008
4:30 - 5:30 EDT
Presenter: Teri Lesesne
Level:  Middle, Secondary

This Web seminar will explore the dispositions that are critical for teachers who work with the less than enthusiastic readers in their classrooms.

Participation in this Web seminar should:

  1. Acquaint beginning teachers with some of the basic information about how to motivate students to read;
  2. Provide more experienced teachers with approaches that hold readers accountable without de-motivating them;
  3. Explore some new and older titles of books that will work within this framework.
