The Secondary Section of NCTE welcomes all high school teachers and high school teacher educators concerned with English studies, language arts, and literacy in the Secondary School classroom.

The Secondary Level Journal is the English Journal.  The English Journal  is NCTE's award-winning journal of ideas for English language arts teachers in junior and senior high schools and middle schools. It presents information on the teaching of writing and reading, literature, and language, and includes information on how teachers are putting the latest technologies to work in their classrooms. • A new adaptation of The Diary of Anne Frank will premiere this spring on MASTERPIECE Classic on PBS. The two-hour film will air on the Emmy-winning drama series on April 11, 2010, which is Holocaust Remembrance Day.  The Diary of Anne Frank is a modern literary classic and an extraordinary social document that gives a unique account of life in hiding under Nazi terror in World World II from the perspective of a teenage Jewish girl. Since its publication more than 50 years ago, it has become the world’s most widely read work of non-fiction after the Bible.
