The 2008 Paul and Kate Farmer English Journal Writing Award
The Paul and Kate Farmer English Journal Writing Awards are given to authors of the best articles published in English Journal during the previous volume year. Eligible entrants must be high school teachers and may include those on leave or not currently teaching.
Winners of 2008 awards are:
Tim Gillespie for “The List" (November 2007)
John Golden for “Literature into Film (and Back Again): Another Look at an Old Dog" (September 2007)
Honorable Mentions were awarded to:
Suzanne R. Kail for “Vocabulary Instruction Goes "Old School"" (March 2008)
Awards will be presented at the NCTE Annual Convention in November during the Secondary Section Luncheon.
