Research in South Carolina
A SCRI Research Team is conducting three studies on and within SCRI. The studies (1) explore the degree to which all 1800 SCRI teachers adopt SCRI research-based beliefs and practice; (2) investigate the development of the reading skills and strategies of an estimated 400 children in SCRI classrooms; and (3) compare the reading development of these estimated 400 children to (a) their standardized test scores, (b) the standardized test scores of 400 children not in SCRI classrooms and (c) the degree to which their teachers adopted SCRI research-based beliefs and practices.
