FAQ's for Interested Consulting Network Applicants
Are you interested in applying but wonder what experiences and knowledge are critical to becoming accepted? This FAQ section will address that question and more.

Interested consultants who are qualified to join the NCTE Professional Development Consultants Network should complete this online application and send NCTE the requested information.
Why Are NCTE Consultants Unique?
NCTE Consultants have gone through a rigorous application process by three independent reviewers. These reviewers are well-known in the ELA consulting world and have high standards for acceptance. Reviewers consider an applicants content knowledge, experiences consulting, and alignment with NCTE Values.
What Happens After we Agree to a Consultant?
After a school has agreed upon a consultant and their fees, NCTE will send a contract to the client along with an invoice for 50% of the consulting fee. The balance is payable within 30-days of the presentation. We do consider other situations if it is fully explained to NCTE Professional Development Staff.

If you meet these guidelines, consider becoming a part of the NCTE Consulting Network.
How much will it cost to contract with an NCTE Consultant?
Consultants can fit into a wide-range of budgets. Some consultants offer half-day fees and others charge the same no matter how much time is spent onsite. Most consultants prefer to work with a school for multiple visits for greater opportunities for change.

What services will NCTE provide when contracting with a consultant?
NCTE works closely with the school to find consultants that meet your content need and financial situation. The consultant customizes the the content and NCTE takes care of the business arrangements and can help you with your program evaluation. Click here to learn more about these services.
