 |  | Carol is a resource teacher in the Office of Language Acquisition in the San Diego Unified School District. She coaches teachers, facilitates study groups of teachers and administrators, and provides technical assistance to schools on issues related to English learners. A former bilingual special education teacher, Carol has also taught high school Spanish and has been an elementary school literacy coach. She co-authored Teaching English Language Learners: A Differentiated Approach (with Douglas Fisher) and English Language Learners in the English Classroom (with Douglas Fisher and Nancy Frey). Carol has taught in masters’ programs at the University of San Diego and the University of California San Diego. Her presentation topics focus on language and literacy across the curriculum for English learners. |
