Publications
 | Barbara has published several articles in books on bilingual education topics, including this chapter, "Biliteracy as Social Practice in Schooling: A Bilingual First Grader’s Journey in Learning to Read and Write in L1 and L2.” She also wrote the chapter, “The Intellectual Presence of the Deficit View of Spanish Speaking Children in the Educational Literature during the 20th Century.” Learn more about Barbara's publications here.

Her Masters is from California State University, Sacramento in Reading Education. Barbara was in the classroom as an ESL instructor and reading teacher.
