Summer Literacy Institutes

Presented at Millersville University's ESL Summer Institute in Pennsylvania on Balancing Reading and Language Learning, and her book was used as the core book for the whole institute. 

  • Planned, Developed, Coordinated, Presented and Ran two-week Literacy Institutes for 60 teachers and 300 children each session on Shared Reading, Guided Reading and Writer’s Workshop for:
    • Orange County Department of Education: in Tustin USD and in Fountain Valley USD
    • Newport Mesa Unified School District: at Whittier & Kaiser Primary; at Whittier & Wilson; and Presented Follow-up Workshops for teachers in all 4 institutes throughout the school year
  • Planned, Developed, and Presented Enhanced Biliteracy Kindergarten and 1st Grade Institutes for 300 teachers:
    • San Diego City Schools; and Presented Follow-up Workshops throughout the school year
