What to Expect When Contracting with the NCTE Professional Development Consulting Network
NCTE will determine consultant availability, make consultant recommendations to meet your needs for the engagement, and negotiate contract terms. Contracts and similar documentation (invoices) will be prepared by NCTE and sent to you as the hiring organization.
- Two original contracts are signed by your organization and returned with a 50% deposit to NCTE for authorization. One original is mailed back to your organization.
- A few months prior to the event a pre-engagement checklist is sent to your group to provide consultants with information about meeting room set-up and location, local contacts, and transfers.
- The consultant will work closely with the school to customize the learning experience.
- Copies of all travel documents are provided to the contracted consultants and contracting organization.
- Final invoicing is conducted within 10 days of the engagement. At that time, full payment of fees and travel are made directly to NCTE, not the consultant. The speaker is reimbursed directly through NCTE.
- Full payment is usually due within 30 days.
