2008 Fountain of Muse Poetry
The 30th Annual Fountain of the Muse roundtable workshop and open mike poetry and short prose readings of original work will take place on Saturday.
2008 Idea Exchange
The Classroom Idea Exchange is open 10:15 a.m.-2:00 p.m. but admittance is restricted to ticket holders. Those who hold tickets received them in exchange for 350 copies of a classroom practice which they turned in before 5:00 p.m. Saturday at the Convention Registration Desk.

Shifting Realities - The NCTE Author Strand
A variety of authors, poets, illustratiors, and editors of books for readers of all ages are scheduled to speak at Author Strand sessions throughout the Convention.
2008 NCTE Film Festival
The film festival is for those interested in the potential of film study in the teaching of English and language arts, and for those interested in using films on literary subjects within the English classroom.
