The National Council of Teachers of English has been leading the way for literacy education for 100 years. Join thousands of educators, students, and administrators in November as we celebrate NCTE's Centennial in Chicago, the city where NCTE was founded in 1911.
What: The 101st Annual Convention of the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) in Chicago. On the agenda for the Convention are hundreds of concurrent sessions and workshops focusing on all aspects of the teaching and learning of the English language arts. When: Thursday, November 17 - Sunday, November 20, 2011
Where: Chicago, Illinois, with sessions and workshops being held at the Palmer House Hilton and Chicago Hilton.
Attendees: More than 5,000 English language arts teachers (kindergarten through university) from across the country and the world, as well as librarians, reading specialists, administrators, consultants, and students studying to be teachers.
