NCTE Policy Briefs
The Squire Office has published several printed Policy Briefs which incorporate a wide-ranging amount of research findings grouped around topics of interest in contemporary educational concerns. These 3-4 page briefs offer issue overviews, debunk common myths and misunderstandings, summarize current research findings, and offer recommended strategies for teachers in each area.

About the Squire Office of Policy Research
The James R. Squire Office of Policy Research compiles research and policy for
policy makers and teachers on behalf of NCTE. Primarily in policy
research briefs that accompany NCTE's Chronicle and this online space, the Squire Office relates the latest in policy and research on such pertinent issues as English Language Learners, Adolescent Literacy, Writing and 21st Century Literacies.
The Squire Office is led by Anne Gere and comprised of a team of
graduate students in the Joint PhD program in English and Education at
the University of Michigan. They can be reached at ncteteam@umich.edu.
