As I read RAWAC, I really liked the idea of having my English class read their Social studies books in my class and write summaries on what they read. I think the Social studies teacher would love the impact of this exercise on their class and it would be beneficial to each of us. It is kind of a reverse approach to me trying to get the Social studies teacher to do writing in their class. They can see the positive benefits from the results in my class.
