The Middle Level Section Steering Committee (MLSSC) is responsible for the governance of NCTE's Middle Level Section membership. The MLSSC members are elected each year to a four-year term. The Chair is elected from the MLSSC and also serve on the NCTE Executive Committee representing the interests of the middle section membership.
