Candidates for the 2013 NCTE Elections have been announced!
Beginning this year, ballots will be emailed to members with a current email address on file. If you wish to double check or change your email address, please visit the website and update the information by March 20. While there, you can also update your member profile. For those members who do not have an email address on file, a paper ballot will be sent to you by regular mail. Only current NCTE members will be sent a ballot for voting so be sure your membership is up-to-date. All ballots will be sent to members in April.
Monsieur Marceau: Actor without Words by Leda Schubert and illustrated by Gérard DuBois (Roaring Brook Press) has been awarded with the 2013 NCTE Orbis Pictus Award for Outstanding Nonfiction for Children. Each year, one winner and up to five honorable mention books are recognized along with a list of recommended books.
