In this mini episode, we introduce Voices listeners to a new segment we are calling “Teacher on the Street.” Teacher panelist/correspondent Alex Corbitt speaks to five different English language arts educators to talk about the importance of literacy in 2017 and how teachers plan to use literature it to open up classroom discourses surrounding potentially difficult social and political topics in their classrooms.
