  Abstract: Editor's note: It is not customary for EJ to publish an article anonymously, but we were persuaded to do so by the cover letter accompanying this manuscript. It said, in part, "If you don't believe that being known as a bad speller can eliminates some employment opportunities, you are not a bad speller. I doubt that many bad spellers will write in to defend their position. Boy, wouldn't [this] cause a stir!"
