We are seeking applicants for the following positions:

COORDINATOR of ONLINE COMMUNITIES for CCCC
The Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC) seeks part-time assistance in supporting the work of the organization and its members in social network environments.  The ideal candidate for this part-time appointment will already be an active user of multiple social platforms popular among humanities teachers-scholars, and will be generally familiar with the issues, initiatives, and programs that are influencing the professional practices of those in composition, rhetoric, and related fields today.  The successful candidate need not have deep technical knowledge of information systems or programming codes; rather, we are seeking someone with the imagination and initiative to both develop engaging online events and build following for online exchanges hosted or organized by CCCC and its members.  The ongoing work of the Coordinator will be supervised and supported by the CCCC/NCTE staff, and the hours are flexible.  CCCC can offer a $15,000.00 honorarium in support of this one-year, renewable appointment.

SENIOR DEVELOPER, INSTITUTIONAL ADVANCEMENT
The National Council of Teachers of English has a challenging opportunity for a senior marketing professional to develop and supervise the implementation of plans to enhance branding, revenue growth, sales expansion, and membership engagement.

Responsibilities include designing and implementing sales and outreach plans to maximize use and sales of professional learning resources, books, journal subscriptions, convention registrations, sponsorships, and grant-funded initiatives. Implementation campaigns should incorporate ongoing analysis of audience response in order to improve subsequent outreach efforts or product development.   

The qualified applicant will possess a bachelor’s degree in an applicable field, although a master’s is preferred; experience as a senior  marketing professional in a not-for-profit organization; proven track record in membership and revenue growth; strong analytical, writing, and communication skills; ability to establish, maintain, and adhere to budgets; ability to maintain effective relationships with management, employees, and the general public; a deep understanding of NCTE’s mission and its implications for service to the profession; and the ability to travel. Additional necessary qualifications include expertise using the full range of promotional media: direct mail, social media, event marketing, one-to-one outreach, and email campaigns.
