The 2007 Cultivating New Voices Among Scholars of Color (CNV) Spring Meeting was held at the Levis Faculty Center on the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) campus.  Elyne Cole, Associate Provost at UIUC, was a guest speaker at the Friday evening dinner that served to kick off the event.  Kent Williamson, Executive Director of the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE), welcomed Maria Franquiz, CNV Director and the cohort of fellows and mentors to Champaign-Urbana.                          Fellow and Mentor   Group Discussion                                                                                      

 

            

 

 

 

 

 Fellows bring data to work on methods of analysis, or research presentations for job talks and receive feedback from both peers and established researchers.
