| Director of English Education The Department of English at Elizabethtown College is accepting applications for a tenure-track Director of English Education at the Assistant or Associate level. The position includes supervising student teachers as well as teaching courses in methods and in literature and/or writing. This position will begin in Fall 2009. A background in multicultural literature and experience in diverse teaching environments is beneficial, but all applications are welcome. Assignments will be based on a three course per semester load typical for the college. The supervising load in this position offers the opportunity to work closely with future teachers. Doctorate and experience teaching and supervising student teachers at the secondary level required; graduate work in both English and Education preferred. Located in southeastern Pennsylvania, Elizabethtown College offers its 2,000 students more than 47 academic programs in the liberal arts, sciences and professional studies.
