CoLEARN is an online, inquiry-based professional development program designed to lead participants through a thoughtful process of considering and then extending their own beliefs and approaches to writing instruction.

With CoLEARN, your classes will be able to:

• Access over 2,000 articles and all of NCTE's journals--providing a flexible coursepack experience.
• Reflect on their own beliefs about writing and writing instruction, learn new strategies for teaching writing, and investigate how K-12 students respond best to various approaches. 
• Participate in structured reflection activities where they can learn side-by-side with experienced practitioners who are negotiating the "real world" of teaching. These reflections can be shared in a bulletin board with practicing and preservice teachers across the country.
