What is the Conference on English Education?

The Conference on English Education (CEE) serves those NCTE members who are engaged in the preparation, support, and continuing education of teachers of English language arts/literacy.  Those we serve include the following:

  • college and university faculty who teach courses required for teacher certification

  • language arts and curriculum coordinators

  • staff development specialists

  • cooperating teachers, mentor teachers, and department chairs

  • researchers in English/language arts teacher education

  • teacher consultants

Recognizing the close relationship between teaching and learning, CEE explores pertinent theory and research informing curriculum, methodology, and certification.
