NCTE Affiliate Literary Maps and Resource Materials
Affiliates in several areas have put together literary maps of their states. Samples of the following maps are part of the Gallery of Literary Maps featured annually at the NCTE Annual Convention each year. In 1993 the Center for the Book at the Library of Congress in Washington, DC, put together an exhibit of literary maps which included many of those featured in the NCTE exhibit. A traveling version of the exhibit was seen at a number of local libraries across the nation from 1993-1995.
In addition to the maps, some states include teaching materials or other printed information about the authors listed on the maps and their literature. Many of these materials are displayed at the NCTE Standing Committee on Affiliates booth at the Annual Convention.
