How To Form a NCTE Affiliate

Why Affiliate with NCTE?  NCTE and its affiliates create a powerful partnership for the teaching of English language arts at a national and grassroots level.

The Process:

To apply for affiliation, the president (or another officer of the association) submits application form and the items listed in the link above.

The completed application is presented to the NCTE Executive Committee, which votes on it.

If the application is approved, a letter is sent to both the president and the liaison officers announcing the approval of a new affiliate.  In addition, an announcement of approval is made in a regular Council publication.
