Application Requirments for NCTE affiliation

The president (or another officer of the association) submits application form and the following items:

• The Application for Affiliation, located here: http://www.ncte.org/library/files/Related_Groups/Affilliates/Application%20for%20Affiliation.pdf
  
  
• A copy of the association's constitution that:
  1. provides for continuity of personnel within the administration of the organization (e.g. by creating a permanent post of Executive Secretary; by appointing the liaison officer for a two-year term or longer; with officers ending their terms in alternate years; or retaining past officers as members of the governing board);
  2. states a relationship between the affiliate and NCTE;
  3. for local affiliates, states a relationship between the local council and the state or provincial council;
  4. contains a dissolution clause providing for disbursement of the affiliate's treasury to another nonprofit organization should affiliate become defunct;
  5. a copy is on file at NCTE.

• A statement certifying that all members of the governing board are members of NCTE.
  
• If you are a local affiliate, you will need a letter of support from your state or provincial affiliate.
