Affiliate Award Application Program Plan Information

Deadline May 1.

Note:  Please give a thorough explanation of your proposed program.  Attach extra sheets if necessary, not to exceed two pages.

Expected Outcomes:  Explain how your proposed program contributes to the recruitment of English language arts teachers of color.

Target Population: Describe how your program will reach targets such as high school students or college students.

Program Description: Generally describe how your program will work.

Program Schedule: Provide a timetable describing when elements of your program will be accomplished.  To be eligible for a grant from the NCTE Fund, you must file this application by May 1 in the year of the award and also mail a final report to NCTE Headquarters by May 1 of the year following the award.  If your program is judged to be an exemplary one, your affiliate will be honored at the Affiliate Breakfast during the NCTE Annual Convention.

Budget: Show projected costs of major program activities.  Also show cash value of contributions by others.  Show how the NCTE Fund grant will be used.  The maximum award is $750.

Evaluation Plan: Provide evaluation criteria that will be used to determine the effectiveness of your program. Final report due at NCTE by May 1 of the year following the award.
