What is my member number?
Your member number is the six digit number located above your name on your NCTE mailings.
You can also log in to the website and visit the My Account section. Your membership number is listed on the “My Contact Info” tab.
If this is your first time logging in, your default username is your member number and your default password is your last name. The password is case sensitive, so make sure to type in your name as it appears on your membership card.
If you can’t recall your username or password, you can have this information sent to you by providing the email address you’ve used with NCTE. Visit our forgotten usernames and passwords page.
Annual membership in NCTE is anniversary-date based starting from the date your membership is processed and continuing for the next 364 days.
NCTE offers four different types of membership for professionals in all stages of their careers.
NCTE does not offer Institutional memberships at this time, however we do offer institutional journal subscriptions.

Individual and student members may opt for a green membership when they join. Green members receive all NCTE communication by email only, and any journal subscriptions are online only. Besides doing their part for the environment, green members save $5 off the regular subscription price.
You will receive a renewal invoice in the mail 3 months prior to your membership expiration date. We’ll also send follow-ups by e-mail and mail.
Yes, NCTE offers an auto-renew program. You can select this option when you register or renew, or can add it at any time during your membership. For more information visit the Automatic Renewal FAQ.
You can access your journals by logging in with your username and password. Help is available if you have never logged into the site or can’t remember your username and password.

Currently, our online renewal system does not allow you to make changes during the renewal process. If you would like to renew and make the changes by phone, please contact customer service at 877-369-6283. If you are mailing in your renewal form, please make any changes directly on the form. At any other time during your membership, you may contact customer service to make changes to your information.
Visit the Renewal page in the NCTE Online Store (you will be asked to login). You can also click on the pink "Renew " button in the upper right (it is shown to the right for reference). If you don't see the button, fill out the Contact NCTE Form or call customer service at 877-369-6283.
You should receive a welcome email with a digital version of your membership card within a week. Your printed membership card will arrive three to four weeks after your membership is processed. Green members will not receive a printed membership card. If you have not received your membership card by the fourth week or would like to request a replacement card, simply fill out the Contact NCTE form or call customer service at 877-369-6283.
To access online resources:
- If you joined online, please use the six-digit user ID you were given and your last name as the password.
- If you joined through a method other than online, please contact NCTE Customer Service to request your username by phone at 877-369-6283, or online through the Contact NCTE Form.
Currently membership in NCTE is only available to individuals. Institutions can however subscribe to our journals. Pricing information can be obtained by contacting NCTE Customer Service by phone at 877-369-6283 or online through the Contact NCTE Form.
