NCTE RETURNS POLICY
New, unmarked, current editions, as well as books received in error or with a manufacturer’s defect are eligible for return within six months of the invoice date. Kits and electronic media must be unopened and have the sealing sticker intact. Damaged, used or marked books cannot be accepted for credit and will be returned at the customer’s expense.
HOW TO RETURN BOOKS
A. Request permission to return in writing by mail or fax prior to returning books. Include the title, quantity, and NCTE invoice number. NCTE will issue an authorization letter and a return label.
B. Use strong corrugated cartons. Insert your packing list. Indicate the number of cartons included in the total return.
C. If you have received damaged or shelf worn books, inform NCTE. Replacement copies should be requested within seven days.
D. All returns of 50% or more of an original order will be charged a 20% restocking fee when returned due to overstock. Any returns made after 30 days from the date of the authorization letter will be charged a 10% late fee.
E. DO NOT REDUCE PAYMENTS ON OTHER INVOICES OR ORDERS BY THE AMOUNT OF THE ANTICIPATED RETURN ADJUSTMENT. NCTE will adjust the outstanding balance on your invoice. If the invoice is paid, you will receive a refund check.
