How Educators Use Research to Improve Teaching Practice

Hemsley-Brown and Sharp (2003) examined more than 5,000 research citations to determine how educators use research findings for school improvement.  They argue for strong relationships between researchers and teachers, suggesting that action research conducted by teachers can be a useful and effective way to incorporate research findings into practice.
