CELEBRATE NCTE's Fifth Annual
National Day on Writing!
For this year’s theme -- Write2Connect -- NCTE joins the The New York Times Learning Network and the National Writing Project to encourage students and teachers to talk about the ways they use writing to connect -- between subject areas, with other people, with organizations and opportunities, and more.
On October 19-20, tweet out the way you use writing to make connections and post them to Twitter using the hashtag #Write2Connect and, if space allows, #dayonwriting. Our goals are to share your thoughts publicly while we get #Write2Connect as a trending topic on Twitter this year, just as #WhatIWrite was a trending topic last year and #WhyIWrite was a trending topic the year before!
The National Day on Writing falls on a Sunday this year so please hold your community and school celebrations when it's convenient for you. And please do Tweet #Write2Connect on October 20!
