Celebrate NCTE's Fifth Annual
National Day on Writing!
#write2connect Tweet-Up, Oct. 21
For this year’s theme -- write2connect -- NCTE joins the New York Times Learning Network, the National Writing Project and NWP's Educator Innovator, Mozilla Hive, Graphite by Common Sense Media, Edutopia, Mozilla Webmaker, and National Novel Writing Month to encourage all who write to talk about the ways they use writing to connect -- between subject areas, with other people, with organizations and opportunities, and more. (Find more ways to connect with these events, many sponsored by NCLE and its stakeholders, planned for Connected Educator Month in October!)
On October 21, write to connect by tweeting out the ways you use writing to make connections using the hashtag #write2connect and, if space allows, #dayonwriting. Our goals are to share your thoughts publicly while we get #write2connect as a trending topic on Twitter this year, just as #WhatIWrite was a trending topic last year and #WhyIWrite was a trending topic the year before!
The National Day on Writing falls on a Sunday this year so please hold your community and school celebrations when it's convenient for you. And please Tweet #write2connect on October 21!
#engchat, Oct. 21
