Kathryn Mitchell PierceKathryn Mitchell Pierce has been with the Clayton School District in Missouri since Fall of 1993.  A former 6th grade Literacy and Social Studies teacher, multiage primary teacher and university faculty member, Kathryn enjoys working with middle school writers in all subjects.  Her professional publications include the book Talking About Books as well as articles and chapters about classroom talk, the roles of literature in the curriculum, and teacher research projects.
