Shari Frost has spent her entire career working with teachers and children in the Chicago Public Schools. She has served as primary teacher and a reading specialist. She has served as an NCTE leader in various roles, including the NCTE Executive Committee and the NCTE Elementary Section Steering Committee. Currently, she is a faculty member at National-Louis University. Her work is focused on improving literacy instruction in the early grades. She has presented extensively on balanced reading and writing instruction.
