Katherine Bomer - Previous Revision

Katherine BomerKatherine Bomer has taught primary and intermediate grades in New York, Indiana, and most recently, Texas. She worked for five years at the Teachers College Reading and Writing Project, and she continues today her association with that community. With Lucy Calkins, she wrote The Writer’s Bookshelf for Harper Junior Books, and with Randy Bomer, she wrote For a Better World: Reading and Writing for Social Action. Currently, she is an educational consultant in districts across the US, and she is at work on a book about writing memoir in grades 4 – 12. Katherine presents on: Writing Workshop and the Writing Process; Content-area Writing and Reading; Genre Studies in the Writing and Reading; Writing to Think (Writing Across Curriculum); Conferring in Reading and Writing; Improving Quality of Writing; and Authentic Assessment in Writing and Reading.
