April marks the celebration of National Poetry Month--a celebration of poetry and its vital place in American culture, sponsored by the Academy of America Poets (AAP).

Young People’s Poetry Week 
Young People's Poetry Week is observed the third week of April and is sponsored by the Children’s Book Council, in collaboration with the American Academy of Poets and the Center for the Book in the Library of Congress.
