English Education is the engaging, provocative quarterly journal that keeps CEE members abreast of important trends, research, and professional practices. English Education serves as a forum for discussion of issues related to (1) the nature of our discipline, especially as it spans all levels of instruction, and (2) the education and development of teachers of English at all levels. (Published October, January, April, and July.)

The English Language Arts section of the CITE Journal, or Contemporary Issues in Technology and English Language Arts Teacher Education, offers opportunities to engage in thought-provoking dialogue about the issues involved in emerging technologies, new literacies, and English education. The online format of the CITE Journal supports web links, streaming video, sound files, and other interactive technologies, all of which provide creative opportunities for publishing online. Articles address the conceptual or theoretical uses of technology in the English language arts as well as significant policy issues, including equity, assessment, and the changing nature of literacy. The CITE Journal explores theory, research, and practice—both practical and innovative technology applications--and it also provides a unique opportunity for dialogue, through the publication of commentaries on existing articles. Accepted commentaries are presented along side the original articles in later editions. All articles and commentaries are peer reviewed.
CEE membership is $15 a year and includes a subscription to English Education and online access to all volumes of the journal published since the late 1990's. Membership in NCTE is required, so please be sure to check both NCTE and CEE membership when enrolling.
