Committee on Preparing Teachers of Writing (November 2008)

Chair: Freddy Thomas, Virginia State University

This committee is charged with the following:

1. To identify the kinds of programs that currently prepare college teachers of writing.
2. To identify the features of such programs.
3. To create a position statement on what such programs *should* look like.
4. To share this position statement, once accepted, in appropriate venues.
5. To make recommendations to the officers and the EC as to other appropriate activity, especially more action-oriented activity.
