Las Vegas Monorail: The Riviera is located just north of the LVH (Las Vegas Hilton) Monorail stop. The monorail extends as far south as the MGM Grand Hotel, making it simple and inexpensive to go a show, concert, or great restaurant on The Strip. Purchase a single ride (5$), one day pass ($12), or three-day pass ($28). Learn more about the monorail.
The DUECE: Hop on the DUECE on The Strip, the famous double-decker bus, to get to your destination. Tickets are available at most stops (view map) and fares range from $6 (two-hour), $8 (24 hour), and $20 (3-day).
Parking: The Riviera offers free parking for hotel guests. In addition, most major Las Vegas hotels offer FREE parking. You can self-park or pull up to the front of the hotel for valet parking.
Car Rental: Renting a car makes sense if you want to travel outside of the city to view the Hoover Dam or other attractions (see below). You can rent a car at the airport or at the Hertz car rental desk located within the Riviera. Call 702-697-4090 to make a reservation. The Hertz car rental desk is open seven days a week from 7 a.m.–12 p.m. and 1 p.m.–3 p.m.

Ancient trees and early man are represented throughout the park by areas of petrified wood and 3,000 year-old Indian petroglyphs. Popular activities include camping, hiking, picnicking and photography. The park offers a full-scale visitor center with extensive interpretive displays. The park is open all year. Valley of Fire State Park is six miles from Lake Mead and 55 miles northeast of Las Vegas via Interstate 15 and on exit 75.
Lake Mead Lake Mead National Recreation Area offers year-round recreational opportunities for boating, fishing, hiking, photography and sightseeing. It is also home to thousands of desert plants and animals, adapted to survive where rain is scarce, and temperatures can soar.
Hoover Dam
Named one of the Top 10 Construction Achievements of the 20th Century, Hoover Dam continues to draw crowds more than 70 years after its creation. Attracting more than a million visitors a year, Hoover Dam is located in Black Canyon, just 30 minutes outside of Las Vegas.
Mojave Desert
Singing sand dunes, volcanic cinder cones, Joshua tree forests, and carpets of wildflowers are all found at this 1.6 million acre park. A visit to its canyons, mountains, and mesas will reveal long-abandoned mines, homesteads, and rock-walled military outposts. Located between Los Angeles and Las Vegas, Mojave provides serenity and solitude from major metropolitan areas.
Grand Canyon
A powerful and inspiring landscape, the Grand Canyon overwhelms our senses through its immense size; 277 river miles (446km) long, up to 18 miles (29km) wide, and a mile (1.6km) deep. The Grand Canyon is a five-hour drive to the North or South Rim from Las Vegas.
