Committee Members

March 2010 Update

The Committee on Childcare Initiatives continues to advocate for the provision of childcare at the CCCC convention. Childcare will be provided at the 2010 convention (for the second year in a row), and we urge the membership to take advantage of this opportunity.

Committee Charge

In response to concerns raised by several members, this ad hoc committee is being formed to explore child care options in New Orleans and for subsequent conventions.  The committee is charged to:

  1. identify reasonable arrangements for child care during the next four CCCC conventions
  2. evaluate possible means by which the organization can facilitate child care
  3. explore implications for childcare at the conventions
  4. and propose options for childcare intervention to be discussed at the New Orleans convention

Thank you for providing childcare. I used the childcare at the 2009 and 2010 conferences. The childcare providers were great, and my son seemed to enjoy being there. I'm a single parent, so I have to take my son to conferences. Thanks again. Glenda Jones
