Committee on Assessment (November 2016) - Previous Revision

March 2009 Update

The Committee on Assessment has updated the CCCC Position Statement on Writing Assessment. The changes reflect issues that have become important in the profession, as well as comments made by CCCC members at the committee’s April 2007 assessment workshop.  New to the statement is a sub-section on assessment for school admission.  In addition, the statement now gives further emphasis to assessment as professional development (based on workshop attendees’ comments).  CCCC members are encouraged to share questions or concerns with the committee.
