CCCC 2008 Award Recipients

  • Exemplar Award

  • Outstanding Book Award
    Congratulations to the 2008 Award winner, Sharon Crowley, for her book Toward a Civil Discourse: Rhetoric and Fundamentalism published by University of Pittsburgh Press in 2006.

  • Outstanding Dissertation Award in Technical Communication
    Congratulations to Lara Varpio, University of Ottawa, Ontario, for her dissertation, “Mapping the Genres of Healthcare Information Work: An Interdisciplinary Study of the Interactions Between Oral, Paper, and Electronic Forms of Communication,” the 2008 Award winner. Read the abstract
         In addition, an Honorable Mention was presented to Huiling Ding for her dissertation, "Rhetoric of a global epidemic: Intercultural and intracultural professional communication about SARS."

  • Writing Program Certificate of Excellence
    The 2007-2008 recipients are:
