We publish several popular book series, including the CCCC Studies in Writing & Rhetoric (SWR) series, Principles in Practice imprint, the NCTE-Routledge Research Series, and the NCTE High School Literature Series.


Write

Interested in writing a book? By publishing with NCTE, you join a community of professionals who have served and shaped the profession through their research, teaching, and scholarship. As an NCTE book author, you:

  • receive thoughtful and constructive reviews of your manuscript
  • work closely with experienced NCTE editorial staff who ensure that you are happy with the process and proud of the result
  • are considered for further professional opportunties, such as writing lesson plans for ReadWriteThink, our award-winning online resource for reading and language arts instruction.

Although we're proud of our publications, we are not a vanity press. All projects undergo rigorous peer review by experts in the field. We don't typically publish anthologies or single-authored works of creative writing, student textbooks, personal journals, student writing, or dissertations not revised for book publication.
