Achievement Awards in Writing
This school-based writing program encourages and recognizes publicly some of the best 11th grade student writers in the nation.
Donald H. Graves Writing Award for Excellence in the Teaching of Writing
Recognizes teachers in grades K-6 who demonstrate an understanding of student improvement in the teaching of writing. Deadline June 15
Muhammad Ali Award for Writing on Ethics
This award honors Muhammad Ali’s legacy of living a life dedicated to high ethical standards by recognizing excellence in college writing about ethics. Deadline July 23
Norman Mailer High School and College Writing Awards
NCTE and the Norman Mailer Writers Colony jointly sponsor this award which recognizes fiction and poetry. Deadline April 30
