The NCTE Leadershift Initiative grew out of recommendations made by the Task Force to Advance and Support Members of Color in 2007. People of color refers to historically underrepresented groups--African American, American Indians, Asian Americans, Latinos, and Pacific Islanders.
Due to the competitiveness of these awards you will only be eligible to win one award. Should you win more than one, you will be asked to select the award of your choice.
