Registration:  Noon–6:00 p.m.

Preconvention Sessions:  2:30–4:15 p.m. 
Join these interactive sessions to explore a wide range of topics across K–college. There is no additional registration fee for these sessions!

Section Get-Togethers:  4:30–6:00 p.m.

Opening Mixer:  6:00–6:30 p.m.
This is an Opening Celebration you won’t want to miss!  Enjoy hors d’oeuvres and drinks, while visiting with old friends and meeting new ones.

Featuring author and education and creativity expert Sir Ken Robinson

Morning Sessions---More than 100 sessions to choose from!

Exhibit Hall:  Noon–6:00 p.m.

Ticketed Luncheons:  12:30–2:15 p.m. 

Afternoon Sessions---More than 160 sessions to choose from!

Annual Business/Board of Directors Meeting:  5:30–7:00 p.m.
Join NCTE leaders as they report on the Council's activities.

College Forum Celebration and Reception:  7:00 p.m.
The evening will begin with an informal get-together followed by speaker Jacqueline Jones Royster.

Cultural Event:  7:00–8:00 p.m.
Join us for a celebration of our diverse students and their amazing cultures.

Sunday General Session:  10:00–11:15 a.m.
Keith Gilyard will deliver his Presidential Address

Conference on English Leadership (CEL) Luncheon:  11:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m. 
Nicholas Sparks will be the featured speaker.  This luncheon is part of the CEL Convention, but open to Convention attendees with the purchase of a ticket.

Conference on English Leadership (CEL) Convention:  1:30–5:00 p.m.
Attend the opening events of the CEL Convention.  The Convention requires an additional registration and takes place Sunday–Tuesday.

 

Monday, November 19 

Day-Long Workshops  9:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Additional registration required for all workshops.
